Today is the last day of 2017. How do you feel? For me, it has been a great year for WrittenInAction. To recap this year, WrittenInAction has hit milestones like 10,000 followers, 11,000 followers, 12,000 followers and all the way to 15,000 followers now. This is mind-blowing! When I created WrittenInAction back in December 2015, I could never tell you WIA would achieve this much support. I started this club thinking it would help a handful of people to be recognized for their writing. I sincerely hoped to create a community for everyone writing in these four genres (Action, Adventure, Fantasy and Sci-Fi) because I didn't want talented authors to be underrepresented. It's crazy how far we've come. I'm extremely happy that the WIA Community is continuing to grow.
WrittenInAction has gone a long way since the start of 2017. However, I'm a bit disappointed in myself this year. I wanted to bring forth new opportunities for people to shine - but I haven't managed to start any large projects this year. I'm hoping that 2018 will be different.
2018 will be a wonderful year full of change (good change) and I'm excited to see what the future holds. Thank you to everyone whose stuck with me and will continue to stay by WIA's side.
To you: a reader or an author, I hope that you'll continue to grow as a person and succeed in all your goals. Remember that you're incredible and there is no limit to your potential. The new year will bring many new opportunities to shine. Never give up!
Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've posted on this site but I've decided to relaunch WIA MONTHLY after over a year of inactivity. WIA Monthly is a book review project I've created to further the idea to bring light to stories that aren't getting the recognition they deserve.
However, since there are many stories out there that I cannot filter entirely, I've enlisted the help of the WIA Community to comment stories they enjoy reading that aren't popular but deserve to be.
This program was created over a year ago and the task of reading through stories and stories and stories and stories was an awful lot for me to handle, but I've decided to do it again and try to manage that workload. Later on if it gets too difficult, I will begin a search to find admins solely for the purpose of WIA Monthly.
We concluded our #WiaOneYear contest and the results can be found here.
We really appreciate each and everyone who participated and submitted their story. We hope that many more contests will happen in the future!
Sometimes I don't have the time to check the tag #WrittenInAction anymore because of how many stories are in there. But that's definitely not a bad thing, and I'm so thankful that we've come so far.
So I turned to private messaging to hear from anyone new to our community, and it's been working out pretty great lately. Many people have been messaging me their stories and I've added them to my reading list and everything has been fine.
HOWEVER, there has been an issue coming up when I get sent messages and sometimes my account never shows them until the user sends a second (or even a third) message. This is a problem because I rely on PM to answer any questions that people have on this campaign and also to help our community grow.
If any of you guys sent me a message a while ago and never received a reply or a response of some sort (i.e your story being added to a list), that might mean that your message was never seen because of the odd glitch that happens on Wattpad sometimes.
I'd really appreciate it if you would just send me a small message again, so that I can finally reply to you guys!
I would never intentionally ignore your messages, and I read through every single one of them, so please don't feel your story is inadequate if it isn't added to a reading list.
All final #WiaOneYear entries are accounted for and in the reading list.
We will not be adding any more stories, So, thank you to the 33 people who wrote stories that we are reading and scoring.
Please remember that we will host more contests later on, and that if you missed out on this opportunity, there are plenty more in the future.
We had so much fun with #WiaOneYear, and it's crazy to know how far we've come.
Thank you so much for being a part of this!
Good luck to everyone participating, and we hope that we'll do this again soon.
